Cycle 2020

Overview

Montana uses an independent commission to draw congressional and state legislative districts. The Montana Districting and Apportionment Commission will draw congressional districts for the first time since the 1990 Census.

The commission published nine congressional maps on Oct. 5 for public comment on Oct. 19. The commission then introduced two new congressional maps on Oct. 21 for public comment on Oct. 30. The final maps are due to the Secretary of State on Nov. 14, 2021.
